I switched to a Vegan diet…No Animals or animal byproducts and it has done NOTHING to improve my cholesterol levels! It must be familial hyper cholesterolemia…If anyone has any other suggestions I’m open to it!

Hello Joyce I'm Victoria well I'm going to share with you but I've been taught and cardiac rehab for food answer the American Heart Association meet as far as beef it's not considered good for heart patients It has high cholesterol You can get the 93% which is what I will do if a minimum for a hamburger pork it's a nut good at all chicken fish turkey all good for you and then you balance your dish out with some type of vegetables and a grain which is taught through cardiac rehab so you are balancing out your heart healthy wise low sodium, low-fat, low calories if you drink milk it should be fat-free If you drink soda you should watch the sodium in it It can be high and it's heart patients The sodium shouldn't be more than 2,000 mgs a day however we can do 3000 a day everything has sodium in it which is not good for your heart so you need to read your labels vegetables and fruits are very important their cardiacs patients very good for your heart if you need that guidance you do have it on the American Heart Association site which will share with you what's the suggestive amount of food you should eat and what your intake should be I hope I could help you I mean I could get worse in detailed and those have been on the site with me for a while have been watching me go to town cuz I recently had another heart attack December 29th I had a new step put in because my three stents were 20 years old and they gave I have one other set from about 10 years ago and my cardiologist congratulated me because dents don't last 20 years and I do exercise and I always have I've had my heart disease since 1996 I've tried many different ways of eating and old school calorie counting and old school being mindful for what goes in your mouth is the best way to go You got to focus on you and what you eat now what other people do you It's very important you focus on you so I hope I helped share a little bit with you and I hope you can find the answers you're looking for You probably can get answers from your doctor's office and flyers and papers but when we do have a heart condition I'm not sure where you're at or anybody else We do get off of cardiac rehab after we had stents a heart attacks and people tend to turn that away. Here's what I say to that You missed out and being taught how to take care of yourself cuz they teach you good nutrition to teach you both sodium they teach you about intake they have all kinds of classes during the time and they also teach you how to exercise to get your heart stronger I hope this is all been very helpful for you and hope you have a blessed coming week
