I'm In Cardiac Rehab And Almost Completed It. I Do 35 Minutes 3xa Week..

I plan to exercise at home the same as at cardiac rehab. When do I know I have enough exercise? I want to lose weight so I wanted to do a little more on Tuesdays and Thursdays too. I could start by only doing 15 minutes on Tuesday and Thursdays plus 35 on MWF. When do I know I'm overdoing it? I've had chf 9 years. I want to be strong but am concerned I'll wear myself out.

How soon after open heart surgery can you do things with your chest wired shut? I like the answers and reads on here. Thanks to those who participate.

Here is a link to a non technical article regarding cardiac rehab. https://www.healthline.com/health/heart-health/...
Hopefully your cardiologist can tell you if they have specific HR target recommendations for your condition. Formal cardiac rehab would be ideal. If not a few appointments with physical therapist that can help ensure proper exercise techniques or modification for your abilities.

I initially lost 90 lbs when we didn't have enough money to feed all 3 adults here. Then I was able to get Meals on Wheels thru our county Commission in Aging. Within a year, I lost 93 lbs. I am half way finished with pulmonary rehab 2 days for an hour. My stamina has improved tremendously. Upon discharge the rehab specialist sets me up with my own home or gym based program. Found out I have the Silver plan and can join Planet Fitness for year

I lost over 123 pounds I just simply STOPPED EATING CARBS, STARCH AND FAT yeah I get it it's people my age grew up meat and potatoes. I had to go to a everyday class on diabetic diets when I suffered a heart attack another class on heart diets. Can't win if diabetes and heart diets rule you
So, no carbs, sugar and bad fats.
Couldn't have most fruits and veggies to much sugar no can veggies to much salt. I ate TOFU with great recipes and yes now and then I had a sugar free dessert which is good to. S diet soda or unsweetened tea nice. But the desire for bread or pizza was agonizing I survived though. Took less than 4 months I lost 58 pounds in 7 months I lost 73 kept going. I know you don't want to hear that but at least try no breads, potatoes, rice milk, etc for 1 whole month let me or everyone know what you lost.
