What Bits Of "advice" Do You Wish People Would Stop Telling You?

Seems to me as I get older, people, and those I love, seem to feel that they can live my life better than I can. Some advice is good and helpful. I do what I can do, it helps me feel I am still alive. Don't tell me what I can or cannot do, let me figure it out by myself. Don't tell me what I can eat or not eat, its everything in moderation.
Excercise I will, sometimes its only a walk.
You know researchers change their mind at one time that was taboo, the next time its the way to go.
Let me live my life the best I can. No one can live my life for me.
I am allowed to make my own mistakes, its my life to live. I will live it my way.

Sorry, if it sounds like I am venting., so tired , of everyones senior advice. I am the senior, i know who I am

I have come to believe that it is not only excersize, not only diet, its body soul and mind. Your thoughts they say matter and can set your mood for your day. Say to yourself"its going to be a good day, something good is going to happen today"Your attitude, to get away from the negative and think positive. Go outdoors, its spring enjoy the unfolding of spring, the flowers, the trees, the surroundings. By mingling with others. Are your friends positive, don't fall onto that trap, as that will bring you down. Laugh. See the funny side of life. Laugh at yourself.
We are all in Gods hands, choose what you may, but he makes the world go around. Pray always.
This note is to myself. Take what you may from it. I find that all helps me be whole.
Have a great evening everyone

I have had 3 heart attacks and have 9 stents. I'm 53 and a runner/marathoner. My last 2 (in one day..the second on that day was in the cath lab) I was actually working out when I had the second one. I am very healthy. Mine is genetics. This past weekend my dad, who is 78 had his 3rd one. He is doing much better with new stents. My siblings, who do not have any heart issues, have been trying to tell my parents to change their diet (which is already heart healthy) and exercise (which they do need more of). I have a lot of experience with the heart. I told them that they do eat healthy already and a lot of this with our Dad is genetics. As man with cardio vascular disease and an endurance runner, it get's frustrating when those with no experience "know" all the answers. My cardiologist told me after unsuccessfully tried to stress my heart in a stress test, that even though I am very healthy I still have a a disease. So..."just change your diet and exercise" is not a cure all. Cardiovascular Disease..is a DISEASE!
