Need Info On Specific Heart Related Symptoms, Especially Chest Pains.
Well, I'm trying to get some information from experienced people about what exactly they experienced if they had heart related chest pains. I have anxiety problems as well, and with the new addition of this suspected Congestive Heart Failure, my anxiety has skyrocketed. I experience short breath, have Adema, get sweats and sharp stabbing chest pains. Last night I suddenly got very dizzy and pale, felt near passing out and my left hand went absolutely cold. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow… read more
In my opinion anxiety is a temporary reaction to something and should eventually get better or completely end. But heart issues don't. I was told years ago that I only had anxiety. My heart would flip-flop and flutter when I was sitting still. So I just ignored it. Two years ago I had a heart attack. Now I have two stents in my LAD artery. If I had been diagnosed correctly years ago maybe I could have prevented what happened. If I can give any advice it is take care of yourself. Trust your own instinct about your body. See a Cardiologist. You deserve a healthy long life. God bless
I also have congestive heart failure for 13 years now and also get a lot of chest pain and it's scary, also shortness of breath when doing physical stuff, I'm not really overweight so don't quite understand the shortness of breath unless it's also from my asthma, so confusing, I never had anxiety until I got sick but don't take meds for it, I hope you get some answers and try to take it easy, feel better
GLD, you have very similar pains to me, er 6 times nothing found before I was diagnosed with early heart failure. Recently been back to gp, to ask for a cardio recheck, as my diagnosis was 6 years ago, and not followed up. Sitting doing nothing, watching TV or lying in bed reading when pains start up. Cardiologist laughed me out his office, stating that I do not have angina, as no-one can do 6 minutes on a treadmill and not have an angina attack. Have now requested 2nd opinion.
Chest pain is sometimes difficult to pin down. My dad had silent heart attacks,
so you can't always depend on chest pain. Myself I have had a lot of "chest pains", but no clutch your chest and fall to the floor episodes. my Dr. (A GP) told me (30 yrs ago) that they were most likely stress pains, The main time that I experienced them was when I was not active, just sitting around, mostly is when I felt chest pain. Everyone is different, so don't go by what I experienced. I've
never had a Heart Attack. but there is a small spot, on my heart that showed up 5 or so years back, so I had had a silent heart attack sometime. my cardiologist
suggested I should treat chest pain like it was angina, and do the Nitro thing.
when in doubt, don't assume stress pain, treat angina whether you're certain or not. I hope this helps you. I know I don't have to beat you up for the meth, kinda
doubt it solves anything. Good Luck
Meth is real bad on your heart. I had panic attacks too but they do pass but my heart attack didn't at 38 years old 17 years ago. I had stents in my LAD. i had bi pass surgery 3 years ago. I also have CHF and end stage copd. I am a sober alcoholic and used to smoke. My advice to you is to go to the hospital and possibly another doctor. Please take care and God bless
