What Does Calcific Aortia On A Chest X-ray Mean?
Should I be concerned about this.
Hi @A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member. I found this web address from the Mayo Clinic. It may give you some idea of what your chest x-ray said. However, remember to always ask your doctor the meaning and significance of any diagnostic finding.

Hope this helps. :)
Calcific aorta on a chest X-ray refers to the presence of calcium deposits in the aorta. This can be an indication of advanced aortic stenosis, where the aortic valve has become narrowed due to calcification. In more advanced cases, a chest X-ray may show an enlarged heart, a larger-than-normal aorta, or calcification.
Thanks for the encouragement and I am almost always happy.
Ain't purdy! Deposits usaully on the valve of the heart. Concern is it may impede blood flow. Nothing your cardiologist can't handle. So........keep your dancing shoes handy and keep being that shinning star of vitally that you are. Gotta focus on being a good example. Laugh often even at yourself, smile when it hurts and always and I mean always be happy. Why ? Because happiness is the purpose of life. Why else would God let you have a life if you weren't going to be happy? Thank you.
Ahhh the dancing life!
I gotta go shine my shoes
Ciao for now
This helps a lot and I will ask my doctor the next time I see him. Thank you.
