Rhonda, I have never had a valve replacement, but I have had three open heart surgeries totaling 13 grafts. I am also looking at a heart transplant and am on the national list. It's okay to be nervous. I'd be concerned if you weren't. You just have to have faith in the surgeons and his staff and the nurses. They have all studied this procedure and have performed it on others many many times. When is his valve replacement scheduled for? Please keep us informed. The two of you are in my thoughts.

If you pass tests ...then it's no time front to back it will be two and half months... surgery this coming week.

I have had my aortic valve replaced back in march of 1977 and then again in 1994 then a double-bypass in 2004 and another double-bypass in 2020 along with 4 stents and now i am doing great for my age of 61 i was 17 years old when i had these surgeries
