Inversion Table

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭
Ontario, Canada

does anyone know if someone with chf, ckd high BP and thyroid disease can use a inversion table? I asked my cardiologist, he was lost, hadn't' a clue what that was. asked that heart failure nurse she was also lost. so now I am asking everyone here for their opinions. ( my gut feeling says i shouldn't yet last time I used them it did help my herniated back immensely. However, that was pre high BP and all these other ailments).

If I bend over I get light headed and dizzy so if you try the inversion table make sure you have someone with you to bring you upright in case you are not able. Let us know how it works out for you

do you have hypo or hyper thyroid problems. if hypo iodine helps (especially kepl mixed with your food or added to your soup.. jus watch the sodium :( .. we are really stuck between a rock and a hard place with the thyroid [ let alone with CHF, almost no scientific reports or anything to reverse it].

I don't think I'd try upside down right away. I think it would be helpful to get your feet and legs over your heart for a short time. Especially if you have edema in your legs.
