Great answer but meds aren't always the solution. A diuretic will help but I do mine in moderation monitor my fluid intake no salt. If you read the labels on everything there's too much salt in them anyway. try and keep your sodium under 1500 mg a day. But something I found that helps quite a bit B I C Y C L E. It's not hard on the knees. You can travel in different directions see and experience different things. If you can get one with 21 gears. They're called mountain bikes. If you're a guy don't be ashamed to get what's called a female bike because the lower bar will give you easier access to the seat. At our age it don't matter!! You can probably find one free on Craigslist or any local Shopping Guide people giving bikes away all the time. If you don't see one post an ad on Craigslist telling your situation and ask if anybody's willing to contribute. You'll find that there's plenty of kind people out there looking to help in any way they can. You're in my prayers.

I moved slow I was very aware of my body crashing, I lose balance I sat a lot cried a lot and pray I pray a lot. Dizzy so much dizzy! fainted so much, it be a mad dash to the chair. Or slide down the wall. My heart was so enlarged the bottom of my heart almost fell through. The surgeon said it was flapping in the wind. I loved his sense of humor. I asked him if I could give him a hug for saving me.. God is so good

I don’t know if you can manage CHF or if it manages you! It will tell you if you need to rest, listen. If you’ve been prescribed medication to help with it, take faithfully and as directed. I take Eliquis (blood thinner), for afib but nothing else specific for CHF. I was diagnosed in 2008 I believe, and try to stay as close to a cardiac diet as I can. Otherwise, I just live my life and try not to dwell on the diagnosis. Relax and enjoy your life.

LonelyCajunMan,

I had a 21-speed bicycle that I rode for thousands of miles twenty-five years ago. I had no idea that anyone on Craig's List would donate a bicycle. I appreciate your post. I'm making inquiries.

I have some serious problems keeping my balance walking. I have a gut feeling that riding a bicycle is something I can still do. I want to make an attempt. I can't get my driver's license back. Neurological problems are preventing that, but I don't need a license to ride a bicycle.

Many thanks. And one more thing. How do you post your email address on someone's wall and limit the views to just the person you select? πŸ‘€

Many of us here would like to know the answer to that question. πŸ’–
