Yes. I was diagnosed with COPD many years ago. I took a medication a few years ago. At first it didn’t help. Then my chronic cough went away. I quit taking the medication. My cough never came back but as soon as any doctor listens to my chest, they comment on me having COPD.So I guess I will have it the rest of my life. It doesn’t bother me but doctors always hear it.

My mom had undiagnosed COPD from second hand smoke at her job for 20 years. It was diagnosed after she had major surgery when she wouldn’t wake up. Her O2 levels were fine so they took arterial blood and found out she retains CO2. She didn’t need O2 until she was 83. My mom’s problem wasn’t the COPD, it was CHF! She finally passed from CHF when she was 86.

I have it too, just had pft's last week & result said moderate # of capillaries have thinned out. I see the pulmonologist on 10/28/22 as a matter of fact.

I too. Have COPD and on oxygen. It's not fun but I am 76 and still smoking. I have tried to quit smoking several times and have stopped for as long as 2 yrs. But something made me start back.
Any suggestions for stopping and deal with the craving.

Yes, I to have COPD. I'm also on oxygen prn.
