Just found my CPAP "family" here. I've not been religiously using my bipap machine and sleep 3-4 hrs a night. Bad! Tired during day, 74, woman, walk 5xs a week listening to audio books for company, chubby, gardening, Bible study, married and caregiving bling, hard of hearing 77 yo hubs, 5 grandkids, son is getting married in June. Joined to learn from you all. Arteries and body drying and punying up. Wrinkling all over. Bay area Asian senior citizen.

Were you aware that you had sleep apnea? I never thought about it till my cardiologist said, after tests, I had it. It was a complete surprise.

I have sleep apnea and use my CPAP every night. I want to keep myself free from a stroke if I can.

Oh, Cyndi, I am not sure what is going on. Contact your doctor so you can get some help. If you have sleep apnea you will be waking up several times a night and probably you are getting up to pee several times a night as well. If this sounds like you it could be sleep apnea. That said, call and make an appointment to see the doctor because you sure don't want to wake up like that for very long. Try elevating your head tonight when you sleep and see if that will help some. Good luck and keep us posted on what you find out. Hugs🤗
