Hi it's Cynthia I enjoyed your post and when does the doctor tell you about the side effects? None of my doctors tell me about the side effects I always ask and I don't get much of an answer. You know I don't think they know about the side effects! And that is pathetic. However now I look up the drug they are prescribing. But as for the statins I learned the hard way. I just can't take them. I have a list of allergies to medication it is unbelievable. Some childhood. I guess they also call it sensitivity. My newest one is yellow dye. Of course I learned the hard way. No one tells you about that. You could always Google a medication and it would give you the side effects you might go round and round but eventually you will find a good web page. Our pharmacies usually have a slip of paper it tells you the side effects. We go to CVS and we used to go to Walgreens and they both do it. We live in the Chicago suburbs. It sounds like you live in a small area I might be wrong? I just thought of something your pharmacist would be a great one to find out the side effects from. I certainly hope you don't have to find out by trial near about a medication side effects. Sincerely Cynthia 426

Hi I had to reply to your post I can take any of the statins it did the same thing to me I had so much pain in my muscles and I couldn't move I think we tried them all. I am on zetia and it seems to agree with me. My diet is impeccable I don't at eat red meat actually 11 years no fat however fat is in everything I love salmon I have a little bit every day or every other day skinless chicken etc. I've taken off a ton of weight. I wonder if my next test will be any better. I'm not too optimistic because it's been this way for years. They have new treatments that are injections but in the small print it says with statins you have to take it. Or it won't work as well. If someone tells me about it my answer is going to be no. Now you know somebody that has a similar problem. Hang in there it's been great answering your post sincerely Cynthia 426

My cardiologist advised me to take it to help with the muscle aches and pain from Atorvastatin. It seems to help. Just use caution and make sure that you don’t consume more than the recommended amount daily from all sources. I get mine from Costco.
