Statins

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭
Anderson, SC

I was taking 5mg of rosuvastatin every night for about a year, before that I took lipitor, they bout cause pain in my body, especially back, I told my doctor, which now want to try pravastatin 20 mg, every other night, to see how it does, I just wish I didn't have to take statins, she said I may have to take another cholesterol medication 😔. Has any one tool pravastatin and how was it. Thanks

Been taking pravastatin 20g for ten years . No issues. Maybe you just need to gave it time for your body to get use to it . Good luck . Wishing you well .

I take 20 mg of Atorvastatin & haven’t had any issues. I did try another kind first & aches a bit, but I was told to take COQ10 to help with pain.

I think you owe it to yourself to do some research on statins
There are alternatives.
