Epicardial Ablation
Have ventricular tachycardia.. 3 recent shocks.
Had an endocardial ablation ( thru the groin), now I may have to have the epicardial ablation thru the top of the heart.
Has anyone had one? Any complications?
Where was it done? These are not very common and risky! I’m scared. So much anxiety !
thank you.. i’m always for receiving prayers and praying for others as well.
You keep going live for today . I too have breathing issues but we’re planning a family vacation soon we’re taking my mothers companion wheel chair so where I can’t walk I’m going to be there with them . Do your best to keep going . Hubby and I made arrangements but not planning on using them till God calls us home . Till than I have work to do ♥️ everyone will miss you go make more memories ♥️
Totally can relate but you had a bit worse than me . Like I say be thankful for today , live , love and trust God. You’re a woman with such courage. God is not done with you yet. Since they put the wire in my left ventricle my breathing is better . Do you have a pacer ? Defibrillator? I’m sure you’re on the right track . My prayers are with you and got you 😍♥️🙏🏻♥️
janice9 I had a cath ablation for afib going back 2018 in my case for Atrial Fibrillation... Prior to that I went through 7 or 8 cardioversions (for the afib) I call them "standalone" unlike any of the ones I had for other situations... I wont lie I was a little uptight as My electrotheropist told me outright that doing an ablation is Time spent "Mapping out " the Inner heart before they are able to begin serious work, They said It can be a long time on the table ( worse for them since your laying down at least typically they want a day or two to make sure you are stabilized and there are odd side affects including gas retention which will take a short period of time to "loose" your Heart rate and BP might be a little goofy like if you go to stand make sure you take your time getting up being stable sometimes The BP can drop quicker then your accustomed too so prevent falls in hospital and at home..... In My case, The ablation worked excellently for 2 years I was expecting to followup with my electrotherapist at the end of april and The week before They canceled my appointment since he was having his first child and wanted to support his WIfe and New Daughter I saw him a week later THat weekend I began having AFIB again ...lol and Ultimately They changed a couple of my medications around and That was about 2 years ago now .... Dont let the anxiety eat you up Keep in mind the drive to the hospital is more dangerous.... Oh I didnt mention I did have an open chest repair on My Ascending Aorta in 2009 so I guess some many other issues seem less impressive , To be honest Once They got me to the OR I have 0 reccollection even after Waking up again I know what happened because I spoke with pretty much everyone i contacted that day with so I cant really say anything about the anxiety for that , I slept though it ... and all the other 20 or so surgeries and being put under for cardioversions all normal stuff so used to it This surgery will be a little longer healing then a cath ablation but should be easy enough for you
Praying for you . Our prayer team I told them I needed 1 vein to hold this new wire in the left ventricle after 2 1/2 hours The Dr found one vein to put in the wire . God answers our prayers 🙏🏻
