Hello,
I wouldn't trust either of these procedures and since I have an A-ICD my conditions don't make me a candidate. Companies are quick to push new things at patients but it doesn't means the new is right. I was none responsive to any of the medications for CHF and I'm far from the normal patient. The CCM was approved in 2019 but they can't give a clear answer as to what it is or just what it does. It like the diabetic drugs they want to use for heart failure. I have CHF and a well educated cardiologist and cardiologist electrophysiologists and neither would recommend the diabetic medication as it will slow down and stop my natural ability to produce insulin. Nor are the Companies telling people that it stops working after a number of years. Any company that isn't forthcoming as to the full extent of it's product i won't use it. Then they don't admit that CHF or HF are not reversible heart conditions. I've followed my cardiologist orders and having been in stage D of CHF have been told since the beginning that I am in need of a transplant.
Take care,
Robin

I just had Impulse Dynamics CCM put in (1/18/24). Too soon to tell - but I’m very optimistic that it will help.
I’m 77 and I do exercise but this device actually exercise heart, helps increase the force of blood going out of heart and therefore more oxygen which is our need with CHD AND will remodel heart - help bring it back to its original size & shape.
I guess it CCM does all this, I may even live longer - much longer I hope

I will honestly keep you all informed as to how it’s going

Well some of us are not candidates for heart transplants so we have to look elsewhere for help! I’ve been taking Farxiga since I was diagnosed on Christmas Day in 2021 and I am doing very well with that and Entresto my EF went up from 10% to.35% and then with my ICD a biventricular Defibrillator and Pacemaker it is back up to 60% ! I have no complaints in that department! But when I need more support I Will be looking in to Barostim and CCM!!!

Impulse Dynamics CCM-D device implanted less than a month ago as part of clinical trial. Nothing short of a miracle for me. 30 percent evf before implant & drugs were keeping me sort of alive ... just enough to miss my life before CHF. Today, I can breathe and move and participate in life. Feel better than I have in 15 years. I'm just so grateful for this gift.
