It's the On-X mechanical valve that I have. They are currently doing a study on it to see if eliquis can be used instead of coumadin. I was told it is the catilac of mechanical valves lol. I have not had any issues with a fib. I do have my appointment coming up right after Easter and will be getting another echo then. So we will see what they say!

Lol!!!
They say the same thing about every mechanical valve they use! Mine is a Metronic and it's been great! I am on a low dose of Coumadin! With the valve I have it's the only blood thinner I can use. I have had no problems with it! I just learned how to eat! I can still have those greens or fruits that I love ,I just have to plan for then..
