Chemical Stress Test.
Hello Heart team. I had another chemical stress for indigestion symptoms, the test says scars from a previous MI (sudden coronary dissection) that had in 2019, it also says without appreciable Ischemia. I'm thinking no blockage., I have a follow up soon, a cardiologist was there but not doing testing, vso if it was very bad, he would have visited them. My question is does anyone have scarring from previous MI (attack) that is large scarring? I read sometimes scarring can have negative effects on… read more
You had that heart attack 13 years ago?
Hi MrsB
I have never had a chemical stress test. I was advised never to have one as my doctor considered them torturous and results are not clear. Good luck. 💖
MsB,
I suffered an AMI which stands for Acute myocardial infarction STEMI widowmaker with massive irreversible progressive damage. I died several times in the cath lad. The one thing you never want to hear a cardiologist or any doctor say is "I worked on you all day and I can't fix you, the damage was massive." I wasn't expected to survive the night, it will be 13 years come December 2. I made up my mind that I'm going to live. My heart is so enlarged that it looks like a balloon with lines drawn on it. I will try to post the beginning photo against now.
I've found that cardiac terminology is such as to not scare the patient. When they tell you your findings are abnormal it means you failed the test. The term partially reversible perfusion means you have scar tissue and viable nonfunctional tissue in an enlarged heart were the scar tissue is stretched. I'm screwed heart wise and my blood doesn't help, so the more I know as to what is taking place the harder I fight and pray to stay here.
My nightly pray,
"Lord I'm tired but I've got something I have to do tomorrow and I want to be here to do it." Then I add, "I won't lie, I want to lay on my couch and watch TV but I want to be here to do it. Amen!!!" I don't ask for miracles, just to be here.
Robin, you sure can understand the different findings on the tests, which I do not and try hard to research them. I think it said if you have a MI (attack) it will say large Scar. Knowledge is gold when it comes to our heart.
MsB,
I did my nuclear stress test in April, I can't do the treadmill because of the severity of my condition and that I'm allergic to the lexicon and they can't do the full duration. My study was abnormal meaning I failed the it. I always have. I have large size scarring. Moderate severity perfusion in the septum and apical walls, extending tothe mid anterior wall. Mixed scar/ischemia of the anterior wall, apex and septum. My study is high risk due to large partially reversible perfusion defect; this means scar tissue and viable ischemic tissue in the same area. Hypokinesia of the apical and septal walls. EF is 59%, transient ischemic dilation meaning wiring of the arteries that allow the blood to run out and is regurgitate without oxygen back into the heart.
Take care,
Robin
