I take Zoloft. My first one was Paxil and I always thought it contributed to my heart attack in 1997. I am not sure how much benefit I am getting from my pill, but I am afraid after taking one for so many years, I would experience complications so I have stuck with it. If you haven't started one, I would first try the other supplemental methods possibly with a doctors help.

Am not on anything anymore. Think positive and everyone can do it. Look at nature's beauty and not the crazy things going on in daily life. Create a positive attitude. I created daily steps with sudden negative thoughts. Five steps and it is behind me until the next time. I say out loud to myself "No negative thoughts today. It is tough in the beginning but it does work. My therapist was amazed. Create a habit of being positive.

been a long time....... started with my daughters brain cancer. Took Lexapro, was ok, for decades eventually wasnt working as well. Now Duloxetine. I kinda got real reasons to be depressed, with daughter brain cancer, work went out of business, lost house, dog died, then my heart, wife died, replacement dog died.........not just a "chemical imbalance".
