If your surgery is in Texas I hope it's UTSW Dallas or Methodist in Houston. Two of the finest in Texas heart care

if you've had a minimally invasive cardiac surgery with no complications, you may be able to fly within two to four weeks. For more moderate or intense open heart surgery, such as heart bypass surgery, you may need to wait four to six weeks.
