Had an echocardiogram three months ago and my heart function was 27% . My cardiologist put me on Farxiga and Entresto. I had another echocardiogram three days ago and it was 29%. He started me on spironolactone and said he thought I would be a good candidate for a defibrillator. I don’t get it. I have no chest pains, no shortness of breath my feet swell just a little bit once in a while. I get outside and work in the yard. I run the weedeater all over the yard. I cut grass. I do everything inside and outside because I lost my husband three years ago. I stay busy from the time I get up till bedtime.

Do you trust your cardiologist? If you do then you should follow his advice. If not you should seek a second opinion from another cardiologist. If you suffer from AFIB you need a defibrillator. Take a deep breath, relax your mind, sit in silence and trust yourself. Appreciate the life you have lived to this moment and be thankful for the opportunity to continue your journey, even when it includes a defibrillator.
