If you have ablation surgery just a heads up. someone who has had one. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. know they will put you as precautionary on a similar product like omniprizole because they ablate RF next to the esophogus and it can cause a feeling of pressure or discomfort and they do not want you to have chest pain afterwards. I was on it for 30 days after. I also want to mention it may be difficult for a little bit right after the ablation to swallow food. You will have to find what is comfortable for you. Not to scare you but just be prepared for that possibly. I may have been warned about it but didnt remember. I had to change up my eating for a bit after. hot vs cold or sometimes consistency was an issue cuz your esophogus may be tender for a little while. You will definitely need to eat in smaller quantities. Your body will let you know. I lost 30# right after mine and have been going down since the ablation. I was at 287. I am now 220#
