Cigarette-style Warning Labels Should Be On Everyday Food, Say Campaigners

Interesting. My mother was a journalist and smoker who worked into the evenings. If she ran out of cigarettes, she would load us into the car at any hour to get a new fix. I probably disliked the smoke but I made a decision that nothing would control my life like that. She quit when she was about 40 and lived to 93.
Never thought about it until now, but she also had a Coca-Cola habit that may have contributed to my negative attitude for soft drinks.
Fifty years ago a dietician told me that fat, salt and sugar were the three main ingredients in junk food! Why? Because they are pleasing to the pallet! In the USA the food industry produces what people buy the most. It is not a secret that the American people are as a whole unhealthy, and are unhealthy because of their bad habits. Changing how we eat is difficult for many of us, for diabetics it is especially important! Eating a healthy diet and maintaining a good weight has been a lifelong challenge for me!
I read the article and totally agree! Bad stuff should have a bright red warning label that states β This product has ingredients that are Dangerous for your health!β That should cover it right?
Cliff, I was the smoker but fortunately I was able to quit in 1989!!! I celebrated my 35th anniversary of quitting this summer! Now I canβt tolerate the smell at all!
My whole family smoked except for me. I cannot take the smell of it and that is why I stay away from it.
We Think We Control Our Health β But Corporations Selling Forever Chemicals, Fossil Fuels And Ultra-processed Foods Have A Much Greater Role
