I’ve been drinking coffee for over 50 years and reading conflicting studies that entire time. Coffee seems to agree with me so I’ll give up on those studies.

I dont drink a lot of coffee because the caffinine does something to the heart.

It sounds like the article did not have any data on decaf coffee. It does assume there is some protection because it contains everything except caffeine, but who knows? I drink that. One cup in the morning. I stay away from caffeine if I can because of my arrhythmias it definitely makes them worse.
