Has Anyone With ICD Implant Experience Occasional Quick Sharp Pain Near The Device?

The past two weeks I've had this quick sharp pain near the ICD, it's like a needle pricked you inside, lasted only a second, it happened about six times . Cardiologist said it might have something to do with the scar tissues caused by the surgery, this is my third device replacement .

Howdy. I have a defibrillator/pacemaker inserted in my upper right chest area since 12/2023. Other than occasional soreness, I really don’t know it’s there. Suggest you mention your discomfort to your cardiologist. Best wishes and do share your follow up.

I had mt Pacemaker/Diflibeator since 2020 and other than that I have never had a problem with it. I know that God and the pacemaker is what is keeping me alive.

Never even know mine is there if my granddaughter doesn't head butt it accidentally when I'm holding her. I've only had this initial one implanted in 2018. I would say scar tissue is a maybe but just be the outside of the implant as well possibly trying to adhere to the inner layer of tissue.

I had an ICD implanted in Dec. 2020. Except for the feeling that it's there, I've had no complications from the device.
