My EF is 60. Was 46 at time of MI. But I still have heart failure. It is called heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. Just as dangerous as reduced ejection fraction. Kidneys are going out now.trying to stay in this old world a bit longer. Diet, exercise, medication.

It sounds like you're managing your heart failure with the help of a specialist and medication adjustments. Here are some key points about Entresto (Sacubitril/Valsartan) based on my knowledge base:

- Purpose: Entresto is approved by the FDA to reduce the risk of hospitalization and death in people with chronic heart failure and reduced ejection fraction (EF).
- Components: It is a combination drug composed of Sacubitril (a neprilysin inhibitor) and Valsartan (an angiotensin II receptor blocker).
- How It Works:
- Sacubitril increases levels of substances that help protect the vascular system.
- Valsartan relaxes blood vessels.
- Dosage: Taken twice daily in tablet form.
- Common Side Effects: Cough, dizziness, low blood pressure, electrolyte imbalance, and kidney failure.
- Serious Side Effects: Angioedema, impaired kidney function, and fetal toxicity.

It's great that you're working closely with your healthcare team to manage your condition. If you have any concerns or experience any side effects, be sure to discuss them with your doctor.
