Feeling or hearing your heartbeat, especially if it's irregular or unusually strong, can be concerning, particularly given your history of vascular issues. Here are some symptoms to watch for that may indicate a need for medical attention:

- Uncomfortable chest sensations: Squeezing, burning, or chest pain.
- Unexplained nausea.
- Sweating without a clear reason.
- Shortness of breath.
- Dizziness.
- Pain or discomfort in the upper body: Neck, shoulders, jaw, abdomen, or back.
- Irregular heartbeat: Racing or abnormally slow.
- Fatigue and weakness.

If you experience any of these symptoms, it's important to contact your doctor. If your heart rate is significantly below or above your normal pulse, or if you feel extra beats or skipped beats, seek medical advice. For emergencies, such as blood pressure at or over 180/120 mm Hg, call 911 or emergency services immediately.
