Oh boy…! Hope you’re feeling well!!
A Dr. friend said it’s the best one at 1% risk, so not sure at all now. ???I’m wondering about that LAA clip, as it seems that this is the one with the greatest percentage of protection, doing research about this one as it’s getting better & better with physician’s experience with this stuff. As we age, the bleeding risk is tough, especially for those who are active or maybe a fall risk ….
As far as OSA, I have this too and the only mask that works is the under the nose piece, I can’t do the facial mask. It took a few tries of different ones to actually get used to it. Mostly when sleeping on my back it is bad! :( I saw there is now some new pill but haven’t investigated this…) Anyway stay well! Thanks for your response about the eliquis.

I remember reading in Eliquis's literature 65%. I did have a stroke while being on Eliquis for nearly 5 years, taking 5mg morning and evening doses. After meeting with my cardiologist post stroke (CVA) he did a Transesophageal Echocardiogram and stated that the stroke occurred outside of the heart. Meaning either tissue or calcium was the cause. He stated no blood thinner would have helped in this situation. Because I have coronary arterial disease I am thinking I will need to get with my Primary care doc and have my carotid arteries in the neck looked at. I thank God it was a minor infarct and praying that my LDL gets lower with new diet (I am taking Praluent twice a month for over a year now). I have stepped up exercise more also as the stroke did occur while I was exercising so of course that put me off to doing exercises. My newest toy in the shed since having my stroke is I was diagnosed with Moderate OSA. Have real problems with the equipment and my Uvula is swollen. See my Doctor next week and will ask her what she thinks is causing it. Anyhow my understanding of Blood thinners is nothing is 100%.
