That seems quite low. My EF was 20 at one time and i go to the Mayo Clinic in MN and I feel they have saved my life. My EF is now 40.

Hello, My EF is 20%. Our heart is a muscle and can be helped by exercise and also by medicine. If you doctor hasn't given you a script to go to cardiac rehab (usually 3X's a week for 36 weeks) then ask him for one. Most medicare plans pay for it. I have been going for a few weeks now and already am feeling stronger. After 3 months the doctors do another echo test to see if it improves. Please don't be scared, many people have even lower EF's than you and are still alive years later! Sue

Hello Maryannfriesen, how are you, just now seeing your post and yes I sometime feel tired but not a lot. I walk and exercise often, which cause my legs to feel sore some but still function. Bless to be able to move and have my being. I have more good days than bad praise God. Have your ef went up more. I pray mine increases, but my Cardiologist said not to worry, for it is a number, to just consider how you are feeling and functioning. Take Care.
