I go regularly to my dentist for a scale and polish of the teeth. You can also avoid bacterial infection by cleaning your teeth after meals and flossing them regularly, good hygiene is important. Smoking also causes mouth infections from the nicotene.

I hear you can get bacterial infection in the teeth that can effect heart. Personally.if my. Mouth because of night eating I have more afib symptoms.

Your teeth and gumd are directly connected. Bacteria, infections travel to heart.
