Lung Feels Full

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

So what does everyone do when you feel like one lung is full and all you do is cough but nothing loosens up. I tried using my massage stick to beat myself on the back (percussion). Cut back on my fluids.

I do deep breathing in to 4 count, hold 4 count, out 4count hold 4 count and repeat. This encourages anything that need to get out to cough up mucus. However, CHF has a dry cough that isn’t productive. Talk to your doctor if The exercise doesn’t help or if you have a fever you could have “walking pneumonia” or infection seriously a doctor needs to see you

Hi Debbie no I don’t think you’re a know it all. Every little bit of advice helps. Finally got into see the Doctor today. X-rays looked good. Put me on some Mucinex Tesselon Perles and an albuterol inhaler. The inhaler helped right off the bat. Thanks for thinking of me and God bless you
