My dad had quintuple bypass surgery around Thanksgiving and went back to school teaching in January. He taught for another 10 years before he retired and then after he retired he lived for another 10 years before he passed away. His biggest problem was in those days they took veins from the legs, and his legs gave him trouble for many years.

I had it two years ago at Phoenix Heart Hospital. They don’t stop your heart any more and they do everything very quickly. The recovery is painful but you should be up and walking the same day. After the initial recovery you should start to feel the benefits.

I had cabg surgery in February. I was so afraid. The fear is the worst part of it. A few miserable days of recovery. But it's worth it. You'll make it.
