It's not uncommon to experience shortness of breath even after receiving a stent and participating in cardiac rehabilitation. Here are some points to consider:

- Cardiac Rehabilitation: This program helps improve your function despite heart disease. It includes educational components, exercise plans, and counseling to help manage stress, which can put additional strain on the heart.
- Medication Side Effects: Some heart disease treatments, such as beta-blockers, can cause shortness of breath as a side effect.
- Underlying Heart Disease: Shortness of breath can be a direct symptom of heart disease, especially if the heart isn't pumping blood effectively.
- Exercise: Staying active is important, but it might be necessary to adjust the intensity. Slowing down your walking speed or trying restorative yoga can help manage breathlessness.
- Smoking: If you smoke, quitting can significantly improve your symptoms.

Always discuss your symptoms with your cardiology team to find the best way to manage them.

I think shortness of breath must just go with the territory, but I hope you guys are discussing it with your specialist when you see them.

You are so lucky to be able to do treadmills and cycles! Stairs will always be a challenge but I'm sure even that will get better with time. 😀
