Hi everyone..I am ashamed to say I have picked up a few extra pounds and can't seem to get rid off it...yes I am not excercising. But do not eat alot. I tried even walking faster but then I am out breathe and so tired.. I am not happy about it...I still work and do alot of walking there. But when its time to go home I can't keep my eyes open. Just want to lie down. Lucky to still have a job otherwise I would sleep the whole day. Lol. Bur seriously...what can I do..

Check out low glycemic diets. They are very effective. I use one from time to time and it is very easy for me to lose weight. I use the Shibboleth program.

I have lost 90 pounds and mostly it has been eating smaller portions and sometimes I just take a power drink or yogurt and move on. I took the most part of 2 years to get down to where most friends say I look too thin. According to my bmi I am still heavy. I am very satisfied to be at 161 and 5 foot 7. Heavy or thin thats what I am. Of course, exercise has helped during this time I bowl 2 or 3 times a week and am enrolled in a Cardio rehab program 3 days a week. I guess that sounds like a lot but actually I lost most of that weight here in the house. The outside exercise has been mostly to keep the weight off. Think of this way 5 pounds a month amounts to 60 pounds in a year. One pound a week is a very manageable effort. But it is still 52 pounds in a year, but it is every day no putting it off til next week. Not only every day but every time you sit down to eat and of course cut back dramatically on snacking. That is very hard to do in the evenings for me. If you dont change your eating habits all that I have said here is wasted because the old me could go back to 250 again. I have lost down to 200 many times and then go back up to 240/250. I think I have adjusted my habits as I have been in the 160 range for 6 months now. So what I say to any who read this, be honest to yourself. I am not trying to be a know it all here. I used nutrisystem several times but afterwards I am back to where I was before.πŸ™‚

Don’t feel bad Caryn. It is so easy to gain weight but awful when you try to lose weight. Unless they are naturally skinny. They may not understand, but the rest of the group will understand. Most people have been through this. I have had a terrible time figuring with my weight. I have been ding that since I was 12.

Hello, have you had your thyroid levels checked? Hypothyroidism can cause weight gain. Try adding fiber to your diet. Salads with kidney, black beans, chick peas. πŸ₯°
