Good morning Lorraine, to be honest I’m not really sure how long he was in the hospital. I thought it was just overnight. But he’s doing good, back to playing golf. He previously had open heart surgery about 7 years ago. Have a great day.

Yes, there are procedures where a mitral valve can be repaired or replaced using minimally invasive techniques, including through the groin. This is often done using a catheter-based approach, similar to a balloon valvuloplasty. The procedure can involve placing a ring to support the valve, ensuring it opens and closes properly. This method is less invasive than open-heart surgery and can be an option for certain patients.
