Anyone Else See A Neurologist After Having Any Kind Of Heart Disease?

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭
Lowell, MA

I just seen a note in my discharge in Tufts chart . About having to see neurogist. No one has said a word about it. Also can't understand half of what it says. Wasn't explained to me at all. They stressed being extremely careful about bleeding due to Eliquis drug they prescribed.

Mary, Everyone who takes Eliquis or any other blood thinner has to be careful about bleeding. That is pretty standard just be aware that if you cut yourself you are going to bleed a lot longer than you used to. You will also bruise a lot easier. Just be careful. If you have any concerns call the doctor. Make a list of questions for your doctor so you can get them answered either by phone or at your next follow-up appointment. Until you speak to the doctor, don't worry and feel good. Hugs🤗
