Mary, Everyone who takes Eliquis or any other blood thinner has to be careful about bleeding. That is pretty standard just be aware that if you cut yourself you are going to bleed a lot longer than you used to. You will also bruise a lot easier. Just be careful. If you have any concerns call the doctor. Make a list of questions for your doctor so you can get them answered either by phone or at your next follow-up appointment.
