Sorry, if I sound long winded at times, just really nervous about heart disease. I don't know much about it, it just scares me at times. I had symptoms of CHF in 2015. Just diagnosed 2019 by Heart Cath. My diagnosis is long and complicated. Don't know what the future holds. Did not know about this CHF until now. Moved quite a few times before diagnosis from all test. Keep sending hearts and prayers for understanding.

Does Anyone Else Feel Like They Cannot Eat Properly?

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question πŸ’
Truro, NS

I just can't seem to eat healthy. I know exactly what I should be eating and how much but it's like I don't even care. I survived a heart attack wouldn't you think that I would want to prevent another one if I could. It feels like I don't even care because I'll eat whatever I want to and it's not good. It's like pass the cheesecake in the chocolate now please

Why so many aspirin? That's seems like a lot. Can cause damage to your stomach. Is it prescribed that way.

Does Afib Continue After Having An Ablation?

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question πŸ’
Clear Lake, IA

I have Afib and had an ablation in 2018. I had a heart attack also in 2017 and had a stent put in and a pacemaker. I am wondering what I should do for the continued episodes of Afib I still have. I called my heart doctor and he says there isn't much else that can be done. I am just curious if others have had this happen and have any advice for slowing these heart palpitations that happen at least once a day and can last for a couple of hours.

Atrial fibrillation (AFib) can sometimes continue even after having an ablation. While catheter ablation can be initially successful, there is a chance that AFib can develop again. If this happens… read more

It's quite common for someone with heart disease to suffer from depression. I have the odd bout of the black dog but I go for a walk with my beautiful Charlie and he always cheers me up.
