I Was Diagnosed With Afib Want To Know More
I am currently on Eliquis and am seeing my dr next week to ask about getting off this crap. It is SOO damned expensive and very dangerous. LIke you said If you have a fall or any type of impact injury off to the ER you Go. I have a med card on me I carry too because I have a pacemaker. I used to have a Bracelet I got off Amazon but It broke. Lucky for me I have not had this happen yet but I am always aware and very careful especially in the kitchen. I have a kit made up in a zip lock I use a cutting knife and my kit includes having a tourniquet I purchased at a local store.
I discontinued blood thinners after successful ablation. Blood thinners are dangerous, they can kill you with a hemorrhage. You can also carry a "pill in the pocket" to use if the afib returns.
My FitBit watch alerted me. I went to my primary care doc who got me to a cardiologist that preferred testing to treating. After several missteps and delays I had a successful Ablation a year ago next week.
You need to get to a Electrophysiology specialist ASAP. I had all the basic tests in past physicals and would try to avoid everything other than for Afib if possible. Both senior cardiologists I trust recommend a younger Electrophysiologist who was trained in school and have done several successful treatments.
Thank you everyone really appreciate I'm on iXarola 20mg very expensive and hexarone also expensive medical aid don't pay for it and it's difficult we are pensioners
