Sleep Apnea Raises Chances Of Heart Disease, Particularly In Young Adults
https://www.healthday.com/health-news/cardiovas...
A young friend of mine has apnea and they are talking about an implanted device that would help it. (Hypoglossal nerve stimulation is a treatment for obstructive sleep apnea that uses an implant to stimulate a nerve under the tongue to prevent the tongue from blocking the airway.)
My sleep clinic told me the same thing. I have moderate sleep apnea but I couldn’t tolerate the CPAP so I’m having a device made by a dentist trained in making one of these. So far we’ve only taken the teeth molds and he’s going away for a month and we’ll start getting serious when he returns.
Whenever my friend has this I will try to remember to update on it.
Wow! That’s a new one!
That is why it is essential to get tested and if you need a CPAP or other device use it. Thanks for posting this Cliff.
