Second-Largest Medicare Advantage Insurer Prepares To Lose Over 200K People - Humana

FWIW … my wife and I are very pleased with our United Health Care Advantage plan. My 5 day hospital stay (first in my adult life) cost over $10,000 and I recently got a bill for $600 copay without itemization. While I’d like to know charging detail I’m almost afraid asking them to look might uncover more charges. Does this sound unreasonable to anyone? They seem to take an interest in giving us the care we need. From my business page reading they my be very good at maximizing billings and payments from Medicare.
Anyone have other suggestions on plans that are good and reasonable.
My wife’s Mounjaro prescription was up so she called to ask what she needed to do. United Health Care Advantage had already gotten doctors ok and scheduled shipment of a 3 month supply. We were both expecting some issues with this lower cost increased benefit plan but are gaining confidence every month.
I will look at dental and hearing aid options next week and report my experience. Then comes vision/cataract care. Wife had this done on our old plan. Doctors were covered but we paid for lens upgrade, stigmatism something and surgery center copay.
Good to know . Thank you
I was looking to switch to Humana since my BCBS here in CO is very limiting.
