My husband worked for NYCHA for 32 years. He has amazing insurance . The last 3 ysara we and every retiree with NYC plans have been in on going court battles to keep our . Emblem GHI and blue cross blue shield. They are trying to make us have a Medicare advantage plan. So far we are winning .

That is just a kick in the pants for anyone on the Advantage plans. I hate that insurance companies and medical providers are putting people in the middle of their "knife fight". People don't really have much recourse if their doctor leaves the network. Our whole system in the country is a mess.

Doesn't surprise me any. I've been lucky I'm still on my wife's commercial insurance from work, deductible keeps climbing but I figure then= beginning of 2025 I'll have to start my part b&d. Luckily for me I've had time to analyse the various options and here in Michigan the only advantage to medicare advantage is for the insurance companies. The companies don't want to cover procedure or exclude certain medications, yes one of them says no to eliquis since warafin is available. So looks like I go part b and part d with a suppliment plan.
