Medicare Advantage Retreat Could Squeeze Seniors

Interesting point. A few years ago I asked a few doctors I did IT work for about why so many practices were consolidating and joining hospital groups. I don’t remember the exact numbers but was told the Obama administration (probably part of affordable care act) made changes in reimbursements that would cost their practices about half the revenue for the same work. If they joined a hospital group it was more like 25%. If this scares you, read the 2025 agenda document. Apparently 50% of seniors are now on Advantage plans. Perhaps a good time for all of us to let candidates on both sides how important these plans are and we will vote our self interest.

Yup! Humana Senior Medicare Advantage Plan will still insure me, but 2025 will cost me more in copays and deductibles! We can all blame the Biden administration for this!
The government takes and gives; reduces drug prices but reduces reimbursement to Medicare Senior Advantage Plans. Perhaps one person benefits while another does not. I did not benefit from the reduction of drug prices.
