When My Watch Alerts Me That I Am In AFIB, Should I Stop And Rest Or Do Anything Special?
The doctors say I have permanent AFIB. I don’t feel it much in the daytime when I’m busy but I do feel it sometimes at night in bed.
Thanks, I am sending you a hug too. I’m new to this as well.
Hope you’re having a great day.

Good morning how are you today? Have met anyone yet please click on their site and say hello.
Thanks
I was in 50% Afib for 14 months and wouldn’t have known if not for FitBit. I’m working our farm and caring for 2 grandsons. I felt no need or desire to stop or slow down. Doctors disagreed and wanted me to stop and do more aerobic exercise, which I also go plenty of. FitBit had far better monitoring at night when I was at rest. Taking my pulse was very helpful during the day. When in active Afib I would avoid heavy work. When tired I’d take a nap, go to bed early or read. I never understood what a real Afib episode was and wondered why until I found this article then spoke with my old roommate, now a cardiologist in another state.
In retrospect, I wouldn’t have taken blood thinners unless directed to by my electrophysiology doc. I believe continuing my regular routine was good for me long run. This obviously depends on the individual and starting condition. Others can help, but, no one else can make this decision for you.
All the best to you.
