Tom We've talked before about the statin I have also been on Lipitor We mentioned being aware of Potential side effects that Its Known for, like you I've Most recently found my LDL is considerably lower then ever , Now in a "normal" range and MY HDL I was have been under the impression Should be "higher" but the overall Lipids are Within a good Overall Target number gimme a minute and I can give you the numbers Yale suggests the lipids should be to be considered in normal ranger to high or low and Only to suggest what they suggest is good low good high etc , I'll let you know so you can discuss with your doc when you get a chance or if you feel your having side effects etc
OK, for the total cholesterol they said (Yale)
"Desirable" (Hdl) <200 /(LDL) <170
"Borderline high" (Hdl) 200-239 / (Ldl) 176-199
"high (Hdl) >= 240 / LDL >=200 so LDL That low I would ask your doctor What consequences are of the Numbers being That low MY most recent numbers on 9/30/24 My LDL was @37 and My Hdl was at 34 and it says >= 40 mg/DL my docs have all been quite pleased how its reduced in my case I' would definitely Ask about it who knows Maybe they might give you a break on the atorvastatin I dont know :)

Thank you for the reply. I am concerned because I am feeling fatigued and lack of energy. I was thinking that maybe my testosterone level have also dropped because of statins. Have you experienced that? I made an appointment with a Urologist to test my testosterone.

It's great to hear that your cholesterol levels have improved. However, it's important to consult with your healthcare provider to determine if your levels are appropriate for your specific health condition. Here are some details about the medications you're taking:

- Atorvastatin (Lipitor): A statin that helps lower cholesterol by stopping the body from producing it and promoting the reabsorption of existing cholesterol.
- Repatha (Evolocumab): A PCSK9 inhibitor that reduces the body's ability to remove bad cholesterol from the blood.

Both medications are effective in lowering cholesterol, but your healthcare provider can best assess if your current levels are optimal for you.
