The Future Looks Bright For Improved Survival Odds For Newborns With Heart Valve Defects.

This is an interesting article that I wanted to share with you all. The future looks promising for children born with heart valve defects. That day remains years away but has moved considerably closer to reality now that scientists have compiled an advanced β€œatlas” of human heart valve formation to guide future research. It is exciting new research and worth the read. Thanks to Adam Pick for sharing this month's Heart Valve Surgery Newsletter.

I know it is a way off in the future but, amazingly, they have come this far. If valves could grow with kids as they grow that would sure cut down on the amount of surgeries needed throughout their lives!

Science is wonderful to help little newborns with heart valve issues and the research is leading to the development of replacements for us older folks too (yay)!
