Getting bad fake stuff out of our food is always a good thing especially for babies and young kids. Take care everyone!

Cliff this was an interesting article. We seem to be behind in areas- our food has needed a good look for a long time as well as packaging, etc. And drug manufacturing is another area that needs a good look-see. And cosmetics. I worked at a cosmetic counter and we sold a dye for eyelashes at that time that was blinding people and it stayed on the market for 8 years or more. I warned people away from it. I have worked on drug recalls. I asked how the people found out about it and it was not usually the Dr (the prescriber) but the pharmacist that alerted people. That's why I say to ask a pharmacist also when you can, they keep up on the drugs better sometimes and are happy to give info on the medications as far as when to take, what not to mix, to eat first or not, etc., etc.

I would like to remind everyone that this is not the place for politics. Please keep your opinions to yourselves. We are here to support one another on our heart disease journies. If you want to discuss your political views, there are plenty of places to do that. This site is welcoming and inclusive for everyone, Thanks so much for respecting one another. A comment based on the information in the article is perfectly fine. The airing of political views or the rehashing of the election is not.

Positive change is good. Time will tell. I did get the new covid shot as instructed by my cardiologist. The only side effects I had was tiredness the next day. My sister with chf also got her shot. Take care out there!

Iā€™m no fan of the incoming administration and RFK is not a traditional choice to head HHS. Is that all bad? I think our health, drug and food regulatory system is in serious need of shakeup and reform. A reasonable person rarely achieves unreasonable success. Many entrenched bureaucrats and big money interests will watch over his actions. I hope he can enact positive change.
