Do Others Struggle With Not Eating Sweets?

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

Since my CABG surgery and my peripheral artery disease diagnosis , I have overhauled my diet, but still struggle with wanting sweets . I eat fruit, but sometimes I just eat a piece of dark chocolate .
How do others deal with their sweet cravings ?

Similar to you! Chocolate now and then wont harm unless we eat large amounts daily. It may just be the guilt!🙂

Outshine frozen fruit flavored bars on a stick are very Good , Tootsie Roll Pops are also very good. I love fresh peaches, water melon & cantelope this time of year. Fresh fruit with low fat dip is also very good & may take the place of sweets. I love makeing frozen smoothies with flavored Greek yougert, skim milk, unsweetened frozen fruit & 1 banana in a blinder with either 1 or 2 sweetners added before blending. Delicious & Refreshing 😀😀😀😀😀
