Have Heard Folks With Aortic Stenosis They Should Never Take Vitamin D3?
Not certain about D3 and Aortic Stenosis
I had my mitro valve fixed with a mitra valve clip.
I was once told I had an issue with aortic stenosis but have been under the care of a Cardiologist for a few years and they have never mentioned that issue. I was always told everything was fine but then I found out I was not being told of a blockage in my heart arteries. Had a stent placed in my right side artery last December and now take Plavix to help keep blood flowing through stent without clotting the stent.
I have been taking vitamin D for many years and none of the cardiologists nor cardiothoracic surgeon advised me to stop taking vitamin D. I have never heard nor read that vitamin D is contrary for those with aortic stenosis. Actually, I think if someone suffers from seasonal effective disorder or has low vitamin D, that vitamin D supplements actually has a positive effect on the heart. Depression is known to contribute to heart disease and motivation to comply with a heart healthy diet and lifestyle. Depression is being proved to have a link to heart disease. If you have concerns about having aortic stenosis and taking vitamin D supplements, I recommend you talk to your cardiologist.
