Thomas, talk with the doctor to see what they recommend. calorie intake also has a lot to do with it you are trying to lose weight or just build your muscle mass. Start with your cardiologist to make sure you don't have restrictions on how much weight you can lift. They may recommend a nutritionist to you to deal with the calorie intake.
