Hello Heart Team. Have Anyone Use Jaundance Medication For Heart Failure (lower EF) What Was Your Experience
@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member,
Jaundance is not a heart failure medication but is one for tpye 2 diabetes. The used to run its commercials here until they stopped it. The pharmaceutical company is trying to pass it off as a heart failure medication. But unless you are a diabetic with excessive fluid levels it won't help heart failure. It only works to reduce fluid weight. Removal of fluid is helpful to some heart failure patients but will do nothing for the regular HF patient because their fluid retention is from a different cause. But it only helps some patients that are diabetics with heart failure. The commercial here were only for type 2 diabetes.

@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member,
It should only be used if the patient has type 2 diabetes. It is not a heart medication and if you're not a diabetic you shouldn't take it. The improvement in HF is due to change in diet and exercise.
This is directly from the pharmaceutical company. They aren't allowed to put heart failure as one of the things it treats because it was never designed to treat heart failure. If you are a diabetic I would check with my endocrinologist.

Yes true Janine, I misspelled it. Thanks. Have you taken it.
I believe the name of the drug you are referring to is Jardiance…
Thanks Robin as usual. I had a follow up today and one of my cardiologist were discussing Jaundance for EF (HF). My EF is 45 percent now at one time 5 years ago it was just 15 percent, he was trying to increase it a little more and he said that medication showed promising results. I have not tried it yet. I really don't want to take on another medication 😔
