Hi Mike, Skinless chicken is always a good option any time of day. For breakfast stay away from processed meats (sausage, bacon) and go for something with protein like an egg white omelet with veggies and low salt cheese like Swiss or some Greek yogurt and fruit. Smoothies are always a good option add protein powder and Greek yogurt and fruit. There is no rule saying you can't eat last night's leftovers for breakfast either. I know I do that. It seems a little weird at first but once you do it it is kind of fun breaking the rules! Another option for breakfast is salmon patties they go great with eggs just use fresh or frozen (thawed) salmon or get canned (get the lowest sodium) or rinse it off before you mix it with the other ingredients. I hope this helps. You should join our recipe group and we can help you get started. Lots of tips there. Oh, I should add if you eat eggs poach, soft cook, scramble, or hard boil them don't fry them. If you scramble them don't use very much butter to cook them. I like mine poached the best over a slice of whole wheat toast.
