May I Donate My Pacemaker To A Vet To Use In A Dog?
I received a regular 2-lead pacemaker a year ago. My heart has gotten weaker and now I need a biventricular pacemaker. I'm waiting on a call to let me know the surgery date. Somewhere I heard that a used pacemaker can't be donated for use in another human but can be used for an animal. If my 1 year old pacemaker can help a dog, I would love that. Has anyone on MyHeartDisease Team ever done that or heard about a case? How do I go about making arrangements to donate this pacemaker?
I agree wonderful news.🥰

I won't report every surgery I've had but they are multiple and massive all the result of working long hours at physically demanding jobs that wore down my body! Four marriages, present one has lasted longer than the other three combined. I know that I've done too much for too many with no respect or appreciation for the most part. I've been told that I'm my own worst enemy and beat myself up, take blame and responsibility that I shouldn't. A full body MRI showed "UPTAKE" severe arthritis… read more
